The Vanuatu Copyright Management Society is responsible for managing and promoting copyright and creative works in Vanuatu. Its functions include setting membership criteria, representing members locally and internationally, and promoting national creativity across various artistic and cultural forms. It must maintain a website to promote events and members, monitor the use of registered works, and manage members’ economic rights within Vanuatu. The Society also maintains member and licence registers, collaborates with regional and international copyright bodies, handles licence fees and royalties, provides annual and financial reports to the Minister, advises on copyright matters, and educates members to ensure legal compliance, along with any additional functions assigned by law.
